Check In. Level Up. Lead Boldly. is an empowering experience for women leading now and rising next. Drawing on Kerry Lee Doehr’s decades of executive event & hospitality experience—and her own journey through entrepreneurship, reinvention, resistance, and growth—the session explores confidence, communication, career progression, work/life balance, and authentic leadership. At its heart is a simple idea: helping women recognize the strength, voice, resilience, and possibility that have been there all along—to discover the superhero within and realize the cape was theirs to claim from the beginning.
Delivered with humor, heart, and storytelling, the experience invites participants to think like the CEO of You, Inc.—taking a more intentional look at how they lead themselves across both work and life. Practical tools, guided reflection, insights and contributions from accomplished women hospitality leaders within Kerry’s network help participants clarify what matters most, strengthen how they show up, and align their goals, choices, and leadership with the life they want to build.
The experience culminates in a fireside-style gathering designed for candid conversation, renewed perspective, and meaningful connection—strengthening existing relationships, creating new ones, and sending women forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention about how they want to lead, live, and shape what comes next.

Belonging, Confidence & The Imposter Interrupt
Leadership doesn’t begin with a title—it begins with believing you belong in the room. Participants explore the psychology of imposter syndrome, separate feelings from facts, and experience Kerry’s signature Imposter Interrupt exercise to challenge the stories that quietly diminish confidence. The focus is on daring greatly, recognizing personal value, and building an evidence-based sense of belonging.
LEVEL UP.
Purpose, Presence & Career Growth
Participants are invited to think like the CEO of You, Inc.—getting intentional about the values, purpose, voice, and relationships shaping their own leadership journey, both personally and professionally. Through guided reflection on personal mission, vision, and essence—supported by a take-home framework participants can complete at their own pace—women consider how those choices ripple outward into their confidence, communication, relationships, and career.
They’ll also explore the power of language and executive communication, examining the written and verbal habits that can quietly diminish authority—and the words, phrases, and approaches that open conversation, strengthen presence, command attention, and build respect. Small shifts in language can create significant shifts in how we are heard, understood, and experienced by others.
Finally, they’ll examine pushback: the resistance, friction, or hesitation that shows up in conversations with peers, leaders, guests, and teams. Rather than treating it as a dead end, participants learn how to read what may be underneath it and turn resistance into a more productive path forward.

Bold leadership isn’t always about doing more. This section explores work/life balance without burnout, the power of stillness and the “sacred pause,” leading through uncertainty, innovation, and showing up for others with intention.
The conversation is enriched by candid perspectives and insights contributed specifically for this presentation by accomplished women leaders across hospitality and events. It all leads to a grand finale fireside gathering, beginning with a short story and s’mores before opening the conversation to the women in the room. From there, attendees are invited to share, reflect, ask questions, strengthen existing relationships, build new connections, and exchange the kind of candid peer-to-peer wisdom that reminds us we do not have to navigate leadership—or life—alone. The goal is for women to leave not simply inspired in the moment, but more grounded in who they are, clearer about what they want next, and better equipped to carry that confidence, clarity, and connection into the way they lead, work, and live.

With more than 35 years in event production and immersive experience design, I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with in-house teams to shape each experience around the audience, environment, and spending plan—from beautifully simple to fully produced. I look at the entire guest journey, including the often-overlooked moments before and after the event itself, and bring a range of creative concepts that can be thoughtfully adapted to suit almost any venue, audience, or spending plan.

In collaboration with in-house or contracted A/V and production teams, lighting, projection, sound, music, video, staging, and oversized scenic elements can transform the learning environment into an experience of its own. The goal is to create that unmistakable moment when attendees leave the outside world behind and feel they have stepped into the story.
